RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of construction and heavy equipment
- Inspect equipment to identify faults, failures, and potential issues
- Perform repairs, adjustments, and component replacements using hand and power tools
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Complete preventative maintenance and routine servicing on equipment
- Service attachments and related equipment components
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
- Complete service reports, work orders, and maintenance documentation accurately
- Estimate repair requirements and communicate findings effectively
- Order parts and materials required to complete repairs efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with service and operations teams to ensure timely repairs and support
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
- Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician (421A) preferred
- 310T, 310S, or related mechanical certifications are considered an asset
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with construction equipment such as CAT, Genie, Skyjack, or similar equipment
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and equipment controls
- Experience with diagnostic software (CAT ET/SIS considered an asset)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Personal tools required for the role
