KIDSTRONG COACH - Daytime
KidStrong Kleinburg is looking for confident, energetic fitness professionals who are passionate about helping kids become stronger, more confident, and more capable.
This is not a traditional children’s recreation role. KidStrong Coaches lead structured, high-energy classes that combine movement, strength, coordination, character development, and age-appropriate skill building. We are looking for coaches who understand proper movement and exercise technique, can command a room, and know how to make fitness fun and engaging for children.
Our programs serve children from crawling age to 11 years old. The ideal candidate has experience in fitness, athletics, personal training, sports coaching, kinesiology, physical education, early childhood development, or pediatric occupational or physical therapy.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Hours will vary based on class schedules, special events, birthday parties, and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-quality KidStrong classes using our structured curriculum and coaching standards
- Demonstrate exercises and movements with proper technique, form, and energy
- Create a positive, encouraging environment that keeps children engaged and motivated
- Adapt your coaching approach for different ages, abilities, and learning styles
- Maintain strong class structure and confidently manage group dynamics
- Prioritize safety and provide clear instruction throughout every activity
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Communicate professionally with parents about the KidStrong program and their child’s progress
- Support birthday parties, camps, special events, and other centre programming as needed
- Collaborate with fellow coaches and leadership to maintain a strong, team-focused culture
- Follow all KidStrong policies, procedures, and brand standards
Experience and Skills
- Experience working with children from infancy to 11 years old in a coaching, teaching, fitness, or similar role
- Background in fitness, personal training, kinesiology, athletics, sports coaching, physical education, early childhood education, or pediatric OT/PT is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of foundational movement patterns, exercise technique, and body mechanics
- Confident leading groups and maintaining the attention of children
- Energetic and encouraging without sacrificing structure or professionalism
- Strong communication skills with both children and adults
- Reliable, coachable, and committed to continuous improvement
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, active, and team-oriented environment
- Able to work independently while consistently following an established curriculum and coaching system
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- Successful Vulnerable Sector Check
- Ability to complete the KidStrong Coach Certification and training program upon hire
