Pay: From CA$17.85 per hour

Job description:

We're looking for a talented and driven Bartender / Mixologist / Bar Manager to lead our bar program from behind the stick and behind the scenes. This is a hands-on leadership role combining craft cocktail expertise with full bar operations management — ideal for someone who loves creating exceptional guest experiences as much as they love running a tight, well-organized program.

What you'll do

Bartending & guest experience

Deliver exceptional, personalized bar service in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Craft cocktails, mocktails, and beverage pairings with consistency and creativity
Engage guests with confident product knowledge and genuine hospitality
Handle cash, card, and POS transactions accurately
Support floor staff with beverage service and timing during peak hours

Mixology & menu development

Design, develop, and update seasonal cocktail menus aligned with the restaurant's concept
Source specialty spirits, liqueurs, fresh ingredients, and local or artisanal products
Build signature drinks and batch cocktail programs for efficiency and scale
Train bar and front-of-house staff on cocktail specs, garnishes, and proper technique

Bar operations & management

Oversee all bar operations including staffing, scheduling, and performance management
Manage inventory, par levels, ordering, and supplier relationships
Monitor and control pour costs, waste, and overall bar profitability
Ensure full compliance with liquor laws, health codes, and responsible service standards
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and equipment upkeep across all bar areas
Collaborate with the kitchen and management team on events, promotions, and pairings

What we're looking for

3+ years of bartending experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
Proven cocktail craft and deep knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer
Experience developing and costing cocktail menus
Strong leadership and team communication skills
Solid understanding of bar financials: cost control, inventory, and waste reduction
Familiarity with POS systems and bar management software
Valid Serving It Right (or equivalent) certification — required
Food Safe certification — an asset
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice to have

WSET or sommelier certification
Experience with beverage program launches or restaurant openings
Established relationships with local spirit distributors or suppliers
Passion for local and sustainable sourcing
