The Opportunity

The Farmhouse is an intimate, rustic Vancouver restaurant featuring Italian fare in a homey, comfortable space.
While Italian flavors brought us here, the bounty of the West Coast keeps us true to our roots. Growers, farmers, and foragers from across the valley stock our kitchen because, for us, the most honest ingredients come from the earth you stand on.

We are looking for experienced Brunch Serverwith the same passion for food and the hospitality industry as we have! The right candidate will have the opportunity to advance into other positions at The Farmhouse or one of Viaggio’s other award-winning restaurants.

What You’ll Do:

Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu - offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining chef’s specials; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions.
Provide – Excellence in customer service during for our guests dining experience
Demonstrate the ability to go the extra step to accommodate guest requests and suggestions.
Proactively assist other servers with table maintenance, running food, side duties, and assisting to take payments.
Basic Barista & Bartending required.
Be knowledgeable regarding allergy policies and procedures to ensure guests are not at risk for an allergic reaction.
Adhere to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
Maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
Continuously strive for superior guest satisfaction.
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed and directed by supervisor.

What You Have:

Availability to work both Saturday & Sunday 9:30am-3:30pm (with opportunity to pick up more shifts)
2+ years of serving experience in a similar dining and beverage setting
Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine
Enthusiastic and committed to guest satisfaction.
Must be the age of majority to serve alcoholic beverages with a valid Serving it Right certificate.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude accompanied by an outgoing disposition.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.

Pay: $18.25 per hour + Tips. - Job Types: Full-time, Part-time roles available
