THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Licensed 310T Mechanicto join a well-established environmental services operation in the Niagara Region.

This is a hands-on maintenance role supporting a fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and local roadside service to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform preventative maintenance on a fleet of heavy equipment and highway transport vehicles
  • Diagnose and complete major mechanical repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and repair powertrain, electrical, emissions, hydraulic, brake, and suspension systems
  • Perform inspections, servicing, and general repairs as required
  • Provide roadside service and emergency breakdown support for local fleet operations
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify and resolve mechanical issues
  • Complete accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance documentation
  • Identify potential issues and recommend repairs to improve fleet reliability
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
  • Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to complete repairs effectively

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10T Truck & Coach Technician License required
  • 5+ years of experience as a Truck & Coach Technician preferred
  • Heavy-duty mechanic experience considered an asset
  • Experience working on highway transport equipment and construction equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CAT equipment is a strong asset
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and diagnostic abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Safety-focused with strong attention to detail
  • Own tools required
