About the Role

Major Moving Van Lines is currently seeking experienced and professional DZ / AZ Drivers + Movers to join our Toronto team. This hands-on role combines commercial driving responsibilities with residential and commercial moving services. Successful candidates will be dependable, safety-focused, physically capable, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service throughout every move.

As part of our operations team, you will safely transport customer belongings, assist with packing and loading, complete required documentation, and maintain strong communication with dispatch and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily pre-trip inspections and report any vehicle deficiencies
Operate DZ or AZ vehicles safely and in full compliance with transportation regulations
Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and vehicle reports
Stay in regular contact with dispatch throughout each shift
Load, unload, wrap, pack, and protect household goods safely and efficiently
Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
Conduct customer walk-throughs at pickup and delivery locations
Follow all operational procedures and documentation requirements
Complete paperwork and reporting accurately and on time
Keep assigned vehicle clean and well-maintained
Deliver professional, courteous customer service at all times

Work Expectations

Physically demanding role requiring regular lifting of 65+ lbs
Work carried out in residential, commercial, condominium, and high-rise settings
Exposure to varying weather conditions
Strong time management and ability to stay on schedule
Professional appearance and customer-facing conduct required

Requirements

Valid DZ or AZ Driver's License
Minimum 2 years of household moving experience
Clean driver's abstract
Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong commitment to safety standards and company procedures
Professional attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic
