Job Responsibilities:

Lead and manage water resources engineering projects, with a focus on hydroelectric projects, from concept to completion.
Conduct feasibility studies and hydrological assessments to evaluate the potential of new hydroelectric sites.
Perform hydrological and hydraulic modeling to optimize water resource utilization and project design.
Design and develop engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water infrastructure and hydroelectric facilities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulations.
Conduct site inspections, monitoring, and data collection to assess project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to water resources engineering and hydroelectric power generation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in water resources engineering, specifically with a focus on hydroelectric projects.
Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and water resource management principles.
Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM).
Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes related to water resources projects.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make sound engineering decisions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.
