WAGE SCALE: $25.21 – $29.08

SUPERVISOR: Warehouse Supervisor

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The
Warehouseman I will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the
warehouse operation and will perform these duties in a manner that meets the
demands of our customers and abides by the policies and procedures set from
time to time by the company and government regulators. In this capacity, the Warehouseman I may,
under direction of the Transportation/Warehouse Supervisor, be required to give
instructions to Warehouseman II and/or General Labourer staff working within
the warehouse.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·
Communicates with customers,
carriers and other departments in a courteous and diplomatic manner, always
showing a high standard of cooperation and excellence to reflect well on Rogers
Foods Ltd.

·
Maintains the warehouse in an
orderly organized manner using a first-in, first-out method of stock control.

·
Receives stock into the
warehouse from:

-
Flour packing lines,

-
Cereal packing lines,

-
Outside carriers, and

-
Company trucks.

·
Maintains necessary stock
control records:

-
Receiving documents,

-
Shipping documents, and

-
Rerun documents.

·
Loads all company and common
carrier trucks, trailers (including bulk flour and feed), rail cars and/or
containers in an accurate and efficient manner.

·
Delivers product to customers in
company vehicles, as required.

·
Operates all company vehicles in
a safe and efficient manner.

·
Secures and locks all power
equipment and loaded trailers when parked in the company yard.

·
Checks forklift batteries on a
daily basis and tops up fluid levels, as required.

·
Identifies new ways to improve
the efficiency and safety of the overall warehouse operation.

·
Must be aware of critical
control points as they relate to product liability.

·
Responsible for compliance with
Canada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company safety
standards.

·
Follows Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP’s) while performing tasks in production areas.

·
Performs other tasks, including
training, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·
Good working relationship with
supervisors, warehouse team members and other departmental staff.

·
Grade 12 graduate.

·
Thorough knowledge of legal
loading procedures for all shipping units.

·
Valid BC Class I Driver’s
License with Air Endorsement or commitment to obtain as per company policy.

·
Lift truck/Forklift
license. Proven ability to operate lift
trucks, tractor trailer units and other company vehicles in a safe manner.

·
Available for shiftwork as
required.
