THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Licensed 310T Mechanicto join a well-established environmental services operation in the Niagara Region.

This is a hands-on maintenance role focused on preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a fleet of trucks and equipment. The successful candidate will join a small, collaborative team where safety, teamwork, and reliability are highly valued.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air system issues
• Complete annual inspections and repairs through maintenance programs
• Perform general servicing, running repairs, and breakdown support as required
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation
• Troubleshoot and repair issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
• Support fleet reliability by identifying potential issues before failures occur
• Perform occasional outdoor repairs at landfill and composting operations
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and safely
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years of experience as a 310T Mechanic
• 310T Truck & Coach Technician License required
• Experience diagnosing and repairing trucks and heavy equipment
• Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air systems
• Experience with preventative maintenance and fleet servicing
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Freightliner experience is considered an asset
• Heavy equipment, construction, or environmental industry experience is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
• Own tools required
