About the Opportunity

Our client is a private equity-backed, high-growth organization with operations across Canada and the U.S.. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this is a newly created Manager of FP&A role where you’ll take ownership of the planning and forecasting engine across multiple regions and stakeholder groups.

What makes this opportunity exciting is the chance to build and elevate FP&A in a dynamic environment—where processes are still being defined, systems are not fully integrated, and there’s a real need for insights that drive decisions. You’ll partner closely with operations and senior leaders, bring structure to planning cycles, and continuously improve templates, tools, and the quality of data used for decision-making at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the end-to-end budgeting cycle, supporting multiple regions and stakeholder groups
  • Deliver budgeting and forecasting across sales, margins, expenses, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Build and maintain financial models to support planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making
  • Provide profitability analysis and actionable performance insights for operational leaders
  • Produce business analytics and insights, synthesizing high volumes of data into clear recommendations
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to planning inputs, templates, and processes (e.g., clearer drivers, improved statistics)
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (operations, sales/marketing, finance, senior leadership) and lead recurring meetings, presenting insights to guide decisions
  • Contribute to process improvement in a legacy-system environment, including navigating Excel workarounds and data integrity challenges

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A / financial planning and analysis
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in an agriculture-related industry (or closely aligned environment)
  • Strong capability across:
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., macros, dynamic models)
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, changing, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Comfort operating where processes/tools are evolving (including systems not integrated, high transaction volumes, and data integrity considerations)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility across operational teams
  • Clear demonstrated competency in each of:
  • Budgeting & forecasting
  • Sales/margin and expense forecasting
  • Profitability analysis
  • Cash flow and balance sheet forecasting
  • Financial modelling
  • Business analytics and performance insights
