Job Description:The Social Worker - BSW practices in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support clients of the target group(s), significant others and those at risk. The Social Worker - BSW will have a thorough working knowledge of the Saskatchewan HIV Strategy and the Provincial Leadership Case Management Standards. The Social Worker - BSW will incorporate the Four Strategic Pillars of the Saskatchewan HIV Strategy into daily practice.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work

Licenses:

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Membership:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the Sask Public Health Act & Communicable Disease Control Regs
  • Knowledge of social determinants of health affecting vulnerable populations
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills
  • "Ability to work independently to plan and prioritize workload demands. "
  • Knowledge in the harm reduction model
  • Knowledge of client exp. & client support required along the continuum of care
  • Competencies: Leadership Skills
  • Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
