Kelly is hiring for a local leader in the agricultural industry!

We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Operator to support seed handling operations at a large agricultural production facility in Lethbridge. This position plays a key role in the safe and efficient movement, loading, unloading, and processing of agricultural products while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and workplace safety.

This is an outdoor position, with approximately 90% of the work performed outside in various weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable performing physically demanding work, lifting up to 60 lbs., and working 40+ hours per week.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Extended hours may be required based on operational needs
  • Candidates may be required to transition to rotational shifts after the initial training period depending on business requirements

Pay Rate

  • $23.00/hour
  • Exceptional candidates may be considered for a higher rate based on qualifications and equipment experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, move, and transport agricultural products throughout the facility
  • Inspect equipment and perform basic operational checks
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and processing systems
  • Accurately complete operational records and documentation
  • Follow all site safety procedures and quality standards
  • Support daily production activities and collaborate with team members to meet operational goals

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of experience in an agricultural, industrial, manufacturing, or material-handling environment
  • Experience operating tractors, trailers, loaders, forklifts, or similar equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Ability to safely lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Equipment certifications considered an asset
