ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare, key in and process warranty
documentation according to the manufacturer guidelines;

· Warranty claim submission (ensure proper
policies and procedures are being followed, make necessary adjustments,
acknowledgements);

· Answer telephone and respond to email inquiries
in the office and discuss warranty claims;

· Submit warranty claims to the manufacturer for
payment and maintain warranty schedule;

· Follow and implement manufacturer
warranty/service policy and procedures;

· File and maintain all service records as
required by the warrantor;

· Keep accurate inventory of ordered warranty
parts and organize vendor paperwork;

· Arrange for parts to be shipped to the factory
or distributor or to be scrapped;

· Assist Technicians with labour ops,
authorization and any concerns or conflicts;

· Assist with work order adjustments (i.e. tech
time, parts);

· Communicate with District Manager regarding
VOR/rentals/goodwill requests;

· Assist with transportation damage claims;

· Assist with digital imaging requests and
approvals;

· Convert body shop estimates to warranty labour
ops (create RO/sublet, arrange pick up/drop off);

· Coordinate appointments with Newmarket Auto
Body;

· Process Mastershield claims (create RO/sublet,
arrange pick up/drop off);

· Manage Powertrain Centre requests and
authorization

· Additional duties that may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability

to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved
written or oral instructions.

  • Ability

to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized
situations.

  • Ability

to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral or diagram form.

  • Ability

to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations.

  • Ability

to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability

to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram
or schedule form.
