Type:Full-Time, On-Site
Salary: $85k-$90k/yr
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and Manage project schedules and resources
- Monitor and communicate the project scope to the project teams along with ensuring project scope is maintained
- Review initial project scope and buy-in to project budget
- Create and review the project schedules with the customer and project team to ensure project deliverables are clear and concise.
- Manage and track project man hour and compare to budget man hour to ensure that the sales and application team are clear on any projected gaps
- Monitor all progress by the project team daily, pinpoint possible issues with design, budget, schedules, and customers
- Create and maintain all “Project Book” templates for clear and concise communication between the multi- disciplinary team
- Ability to read and understand advanced detailed engineering drawings, construction shop drawings and technical specifications
- Monitor and approve project purchases
- Review new projects with the sale and application team
- Record all Research and Development work per project is reported for SR&ED
- Attend all design review meetings to confirm project scope is met
- Review and approve specific project and department personal expense reports
- Participate and create in Company’s Continuous Improvement initiative
- Communicate project invoicing to the accounting department and ensure payments are received
- Represent the company at various business meeting to promote the company
- Promote positive relations and open communication techniques with partners, customer, vendors and distributors
- Recommend and consistently administer policies, process flow and procedures to enhance operations
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes.
- Simultaneously manage several projects
Experience and Education
- Completed a University degree in Mechanical/ Electric/ industrial engineering
- Education in the Project Management field is an asset
- Proficiency with MS based software
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Solidworks would be an asset.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiation, accounting principle and sounds business practices.
- 7+ Year with relative engineering/ project management experience in automation required
- Experienced and knowledgeable in Automation Industry.
- Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate host group meetings
- Must be experience in planning combining construction and programming aspects of the project; must have the ability to read and understand advanced detailed engineering drawings, construction shop drawings and technical specifications
- Must have strong knowledge in budgets and operating plans for projects and ensuring there is enough manpower to complete the project.
- Must have strong decision-making skills and is able to function under pressure and strict timelines
- Must be available to travel and work over-time
- Must have a valid driver’s licence
- Must have a valid passport
