Role overview

We are looking for a Front of House (FOH) Restaurant Manager to join our team as we grow!

Our team has over two decades of experience owning and operating cafes, making fantastic pastries, and roasting really, really good coffee. And while our foundation will always be quality ingredients — in our coffee, in our baking, and in our food — our real obsession is delivering remarkably excellent service.

We’re hiring a FOH leader to help us expand hours, elevate hospitality, and support a team that cares about the details. We have availability for days and/or nights and can accommodate different scheduling requirements. We’re passionate about providing a positive work-life balance and supporting our team members’ individual goals (both inside and outside the workplace). Candidates with open availability are preferred, but for the right candidate we’re happy to work around your schedule.

Who You Are: You’re motivated, energetic, and a positive self-starter. You’re the kind of person who:

Leads with warmth and calm confidence — even when it’s busy

Loves creating a guest experience that feels effortless and memorable

Takes pride in an organized, clean, and dialed-in space

Communicates clearly, gives great feedback, and holds a high bar (kindly)

Enjoys coaching and developing people

Has FOH leadership experience in a cafe/restaurant setting

What We Offer: Flexible scheduling, free shift meals, mentorship through one-on-one coaching and training, a high-quality product and service environment, room to grow with an expanding organization

What You’ll Do:

As a key leader within JA, you’ll support our mission to deliver a guest experience that goes above and beyond. Duties are varied and will include:

Lead daily FOH operations across service (open, rush, close)

Coach, mentor, and develop FOH team members (baristas, servers, bartenders)

Set the tone on hospitality: greeting, pacing, guest recovery, and attention to detail

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and strong visual standards in the space

Help manage scheduling, breaks, and floor coverage to match business needs

Support training and consistency on service steps, POS, and standards

Ensure cash handling and end-of-day procedures are accurate and secure

Partner with BOH leadership to keep service smooth and communication tight

Assist with inventory needs for FOH supplies and ensure closing checklists are completed

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
