Description

We are currently seeking a Workers Compensation Consultant to join our team remotely in Ontario, Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Ontario workers' compensation programs, claims management, return-to-work strategies, and regulatory compliance. This position plays a key role in supporting employers and employees throughout the workers' compensation process while driving positive outcomes and cost-effective claim resolution.

Salary Range: CAD $60,000 - $90,000 annually

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end Workers’ Compensation claims in Ontario
File new claims within required provincial deadlines and maintain compliance with applicable legislation.
Review and assess entitlement decisions; challenge or appeal determinations when appropriate to protect employer interests.
Collaborate with injured employees, employers, and case managers to develop safe and effective return-to-work and modified duty programs.
Monitor case progress and maintain detailed documentation to ensure timely resolution.
Provide strategic advice to employers on premium reduction strategies and claims cost control.
Build strong relationships with Workers' Compensation Boards, medical providers, and internal partners to facilitate fair and efficient outcomes.

Qualifications

Holds a LSO Paralegal License and is in good standing.
Post-secondary education in Paralegal Studies, Insurance, Human Resources, or Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience managing or adjudicating workers’ compensation claims (multi-province experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of WSIB and WCB processes and legislation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and claims management systems.
