The Resort Operations Supervisor will bring a strong focus on delivering these key responsibilities:

  • Delivers exceptional guest service across Marina and RV Resort operations, consistently demonstrating the “Yes I Can” service philosophy
  • Set the pace and lead by working shoulder to shoulder with crew and management to assist in serving guests and to create and maintain a positive environment in support of the ‘Yes I Can’ philosophy
  • Maximize revenues by managing RV reservations, annual and transient moorage, rental boats and keeping waiting lists up to date
  • Work with the Guest Service Supervisor to lead the Guest Service Crew in delivering exceptional customer service through the font counter, online booking systems, the Café, and in the operation, including scheduling and work assignments, to ensure service standards are met and all work is completed in a safe and cost-efficient manner at all times
  • Organize and manage inventory with the support of the Purchaser and the Manager and place orders as appropriate for the season and business levels of the Resort and Marina.
  • Working with the Manager and Guest Service Supervisor, be the primary accountable Supervisor for all cash out, daily and monthly reporting, payment reconciliation and bookkeeping; completing all daily, weekly, monthly and annual paperwork and accurately ensuring on time
  • Support the ongoing care and maintenance of the Resort property and facilities, and surrounding area is up to OBMG standards, ensuring an exceptional guest environment and a safe environment for crew
  • Communicate effectively with all customers, crew, suppliers and vendors to ensure that their needs are dealt with in a friendly, professional manner, proudly representing OBMG at all times through every crew member
  • Greet guests as they arrive and make them feel welcome, assisting with their requirements, processing of RV, annual or nightly moorage fees, fuel, RV or vessel docking/parking and departure, or other services as required
  • Works collaboratively across teams to support daily operational flow and peak period coverage needs
  • Operates in alignment with safety, environmental, and OBMG operational standards
  • Supports the Resort Manager in varied operational areas as needed and in their absence to ensure smooth guest experience and service continuity

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Technical Skills:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent related experience in business, recreational or hospitality management is required.
  • Pleasure Craft Operator’s Certificate (PCOC) an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
  • Occupational First Aid and CPR Level 1 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of outdoor recreation, boats and boating is desired.
  • Awareness of environmental issues as they pertain to RV and marina operations.
  • Basic cash handling and accounting skills an asset.

Experience:

  • Experience providing exceptional customer service is required.
  • Experience working in a marina, recreational or hospitality environment/facility an asset.
  • Recent experience supervising a team of diverse crew members an asset.

The ideal candidate brings strong customer service experience and thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor, multi-operation environment. Experience in marina, hospitality, RV resort, or recreational operations is an asset. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required. The role requires flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays, to support operational needs.
