Expert Software Engineer – ServiceNow
Location: Remote, United States or Canada

This hands-on engineering role offers the opportunity to shape platform architecture, solve complex technical challenges, and bring innovative solutions from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

Lead complex ServiceNow development projects and platform enhancements.

Design scalable, secure, and highly available ServiceNow architectures and integrations.

Configure and customize business rules, client scripts, UI policies and actions, ACLs, notifications, workflows, and service catalogs.

Support ITSM, ITOM, CSM, Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, and Service Catalog modules.

-

Build integrations using REST, web services, SSO, SAML, LDAP, JDBC/ODBC, FTP/SFTP, and related technologies.

-

Identify opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into the ServiceNow platform.

-

Develop proofs of concept for innovative or technically complex solutions.

-

Troubleshoot advanced platform issues and provide expert-level technical guidance.

Manage update sets, deployments, release activities, and peer code reviews.

-

Partner with business analysts, project managers, process owners, and global development teams.

Qualifications

-

7+ years of software engineering experience with extensive ServiceNow design and development expertise.

-

Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and practical experience with ITSM, ITOM, and CSM.

-

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer credentials.

-

Experience working within ServiceNow multi-domain environments.

-

Proficiency with ServiceNow APIs, integrations, security, and platform architecture.

Development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS.

-

Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
