About the Opportunity
The Toronto Holocaust Museum seeks an Associate Director of Education to oversee the Museum’s Education department functions including school visits, teacher professional development, education resources, and museum educator management.
The Associate Director of Education leads department efforts to make the Toronto Holocaust Museum the province’s recognized leader in Holocaust education. They will champion best practices in Holocaust education, experimental and innovative thinking, and fresh approaches to engaging school audiences. They will ensure that learning at the THM is grounded in Holocaust scholarship while drawing out the relevance of the Holocaust today and its explicit connections to current antisemitism. They will also ensure that learning at the THM expands understanding of who Jews are, past and present.
We believe that high impact Holocaust education that is relevant to the world we live in today can inspire discussion and behavioural change around contemporary ansitsemitism and all forms of hate.This is a highly attractive opportunity to work in a senior position at a new state-of-the-art institution and the first Holocaust museum in Canada designed for the post-survivor period.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the development and delivery of all school-based programming, including field trips, workshops, survivor speaker sessions, and special initiatives, through supervision of the museum educator, and coordinator.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
*This is a full-time position. Salary Range: $100,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience.
