Emeri is a Vancouver-based matcha brand built on a simple belief: we don’t define the best matcha, we help you find yours. We work directly with multi-generational farmers across Japan to source distinct expressions of matcha, each with its own character, balance, and story.

The Role

We are hiring Baristas to join our opening team.

This role is focused on craft, consistency, and hospitality. You will prepare drinks to a high standard, support the flow of service, and contribute to creating a thoughtful and welcoming environment for every guest.

This role is best suited for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a team, and is interested in growing within hospitality.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Preparing drinks with care and consistency

Prepare matcha and other beverages to our standards

Maintain attention to detail in every step of the process

Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality

Supporting the guest experience

Greet guests in a warm and thoughtful manner

Assist with orders and answer questions about our products

Help create a welcoming and comfortable environment

Supporting the flow of service

Work efficiently and communicate clearly with the team

Maintain pace during busy periods while upholding quality

Assist Shift Leaders in keeping service organized and smooth

Maintaining the space

Keep the bar clean, organized, and well-stocked

Follow opening and closing procedures

Support overall cleanliness and presentation of the shop

Who This Is For

You take pride in your work and care about doing things well

You care about hospitality and how people feel

Previous café or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required. We value attitude, care, and willingness to learn.

Requirements

Availability for weekends and flexible scheduling

Ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced environment

FoodSafe Level 1 (bonus but not required)

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $19.00 - $19.75 /hour + tips
